Scene I Liriope and Cephissus

At this time, the most beautiful nymph Liriope with her husband Cephissus - the river god enter Pas de deux

 

Liriope is in labor pains and will to birth to a child. The water fairies held her hands in the green waves and embraced her  Solo and Corps de ballet

The Baby born Solo and Corps de ballet

Cephissus lifts their son out of the waves. Solo and Corps de ballet

 

Scene II Tiresias

Liriope Enters,  She gives birth to a baby boy. She carries the baby to meet the blind seer Tiresias and runs deeper into the woods. Solo

 Aquatic plants and Corals Enter Liriope passes through them , Aquatic plants surrounded  Liriope, and want to eat her and the baby.  Leriope struggled to break away and ran forward. Solo and Corps de ballet

Finally Liriope comes to Tirisrias. The witch is sitting under a big tree. She is blind, but there is a huge eyes on the big tree behind her.

 

Leriope hold the baby walk over the witch,  the witch touch the baby's face with her hand. Then the witch threw various herbs into the jar on the fire in front of her. 

 

Finally, after the medicinal soup is boiled, a lot of steam came out and filled the surrounding area.

 

The witch is dancing and do some gesture for prophesying ,means:

This boy will grow up to be extraordinarily handsome, many fairies will fall in love with him, and he will a long life... But, no, that's not true!

 

The witch suddenly fell something: He must cannot to see his face, as long as he saw it, he would die!

 

Scene III  Echo

Jupiter plays with some fairies Solo and Corps de ballet

Juno angrily going to find Jupiter. Juno saw the fairy Echo on the road, call her over, and ask her if she had seen Jupiter? 

 

But  Echo is says a lot of nonsense, and Jupiter and the fairies run away. Juno is very angry. so Juno use the spell to punish Echo. Pas de deux

 

Juno's gesture means: You no longer speak, you just can only repeat what others say.

Echo found that she had lost the ability to speak and she just only repeat what Juno's last words: other people's words...other people's words...other people's words...

Narcissus Enters Solo

Narcissus is 16 years old. He grew up with animals in the mountains and forests. He has a very handsome appearance.

Nassus feels sleepy, the other animals Exit.

Echo Enters, she saw Narcissus sleeping. She walks in to admire his beauty and is fascinated by him.

Narcissus wakes up,and Echo hurriedly hid,Narcissus felt someone was there, but didn't saw Echo.

 

Narcissus ask: (gesture)Is anyone here?

Echo repead: (esture)anyone here...anyone here ...

Narcissus: Who are you?

Echo: are you...are you...

Narcissus: Come here

Echo: here... here... 

Pas de deux

Echo come out, but she was cursed and couldn't express herself, so she go to hug Narcissus.

 

Narcissus push her away and say: Go away, there is no way I am yours until I die!

 

Echo: yours... yours...  she  shame and hid deep in the forest, never daring to come out again.

 

Scene V.  Echo

Echo is crying at the mountains and forests, repeating words of passers and other people. Solo

All this is seen by Rhamnusia, the goddess of revenge, and Rhamnusia

decided to punish Narcissus. 

 

Echo wants to stop her,  but Rhamnusia push her away and going to find Narcissus.

Narcissus returns from hunting  Solo

Rhamnusia Enters  behind Narcissus and cast magic. Solo

 

Narcissus didn't see it, Rhamnusia increased the magic. Pas de deux

 

1:13 - 4:03 

A pool suddenly appeare at front of Narcissus. He is happy and dancing around the water.

 

Then he leaned down and look the water. He see a young face,  he stand up and see a young man's figure. He is fascinated., he didn't know it is his own reflection. 

 

He reached out his hand,  the shadow in the water shattered. His gesture: Don't go, I won't touch you anymore. Solo

When night come, he stared at the reflection in the water and told his love. Solo

 

6:03 - 7:10 

At dawn, Echo Enters, but Narcissus wants Echo away.  Pas de deux

Night falls again,  the shadow rises from the lake,  Narcissus with the shadow  Pas de deux (their moves on the contrary)

 

The shadow Exits Narcissus falls

Echo Enters, she cannot find him, but only saw a a beautiful flower . Solo

A priestess back, saw this scene of them, and immediately run out to tell Athena.

Athena is very angry,  she accuses Medusa Pas de deux

 

The priestesses beating Medusa, and covered her with a big black cloth. Solo and Pas de ballet

Medusa slowly crawls out of the blanket, her hair turns into venomous snakes, her appearance is extremely ugly and terrifying, and her body is like a snake. Solo
