The story is based on Chinese writer Lu Hsun's novel. It is an ancient mythology and is the earliest martial arts novel in China.

The king of the CHUH kingdom, ordered the best swordmaker of his kingdom GAN JIANG, to forge a great sword for him. The desired result was achieved after three years.

When GAN JIANG presented the sword to the King, the King massacred the swordmaker, so that no better sword would ever be made again by the wretched craftsman. Thus, GAN JIANG was the first to killed by this sword.

Before presenting the sword to the King, GAN JIANG had already predicted the King's reaction, so he secretly made two gendered swords - one male, another female.

GAN JIANG left the male sword and a message behind for his wife and their unborn son to avenge him.

MEI JIAN CHIH, the posthumous child of GAN JIANG, upon reaching his sixteenth birthday, was sent by his mother to avenge his father's death.

The climax of this story is that there were three individuals fighting in a heated cauldron: the king, the 16 year old son, and one a mysterious warrior.

Finally, the flames of revenge burned everything - blood, flesh and life.

Can revenge exterminate hatred? Or does from their seed come even greater hatred?

Act I

Scene 1 The Night

A Young man called MEI JIAN CHIH will turn 16 years old tomorrow. After working hard all day, he went to bed and was woken up by a rat.

He was unsure as to kill the rat or let him go. But his mother told him a shocking story, a family secret, the death of his father ...

少年眉閒尺，過了這晚就滿16嵗了。他看著天上的月亮，想著自己的命運。夜深了，他上床休息，被一隻老鼠吵醒了。他生性柔弱，捉住老鼠後，在殺死牠還是救活牠之間優柔寡斷。

母親告訴了他一個驚人的家族秘密 - 父親的死。

Scene 2 The Place of CHUH

第二場楚王的宮殿

Sixteen years ago, the King of CHUH was enjoying the dancing and drinking wine at his palace. However, after he losing a battle game with the guards, a warlock came to give him some medicines. It was said that it could help to increase king's power, but the king thought it would be useless, so he forced his concubine to drink it...

十六年前，楚王正在他的宮殿裡享受美酒佳餚，欣賞宮女們的舞蹈，他最寵愛的王妃也爲他獻上美妙的琵琶舞。接著大臣和侍衛們表演武術，楚王興致所至和他們比武。誰知王敗了，他非常生氣。

術士到來，他為王精心配置了三瓶藥，據説可以增加力量。王喝下兩瓶，感覺又冷又熱卻毫無效果，他强逼王妃喝下第三瓶藥。

Scene 3 Concubine'S Baby

The Mistress became pregnant because she dranks the warlock's medicine and gave birth to a piece of iron. The king was very angry when he saw this abnormality and wanted to kill the mistress.

The Minister said to the king “This piece of iron is a gift from heaven, why not to use it to make a sword to defend the kingdom? The best swordman is Gan Jiang.”

The next day, Gan Jiang came to the palace and accepted this mission.

王妃懷孕了，因爲她喝了術士的藥，她生下了一塊鉄。楚王看到這個怪胎後非常惱火，他要殺死王妃。大臣對王說：“陛下，這是上天賜給陛下的禮物啊，何不用它鑄造一把上好的劍，來保衛王的疆土。國内最好的鑄劍匠叫幹將。”

第二天，幹將來到宮中，接受了這個任務。

Scene 4 Forging the Swords

GAN JIANG and his wife MO YE started trying to forge the sword.

One year passed and that iron did not melt in the furnace. They built a new furnace on a lakeside. The second year passed and that iron still did not melt. JIANG was very tired and fell asleep...

The SPIRITS came to help MO YE, she cuts off her hair and slit her wrists. As the blood dripped into the furnace, the iron finally melted...

幹將和他的妻子莫邪鑄劍。一年過去了，那塊鉄沒有熔化。他們在湖邊建造了一座新爐,第二年過去了，那鐵仍然沒有融化。幹將疲倦極了，倒下來睡著......

幽靈們來幫助莫邪，她剪掉了頭髮並割開了手腕。隨著鮮血滴入爐內，鐵最終融化了...

Scene 5 Avenge

第五場復仇

Just sixteen years old, the young man MEI JIAN CHIH, embarked on his journey of avenge.

He went to the city of CHUH, but he did not successfully avenge。

In a wasteland，CHIH met a WARRIOR and the WARRIOR is willing to help CHIH seek his revenge, but he ask for two things: the sword and CHIH's head.

年僅十六歲的眉間尺踏上了複仇之旅。他來到楚國，想刺殺正在出巡的楚王，可他沒有成功。

在荒原上，眉間尺遇到了一位武士，戰士願意幫助眉間尺，但他要求兩件事：劍和眉間尺的頭。

Act II

Scene 6 King's Dream

第六場楚王的夢

The KING fell asleep, and he heard some noise coming from outside. He got up and went to the balcony to see what happened.

He saw a young man approching to him and holding up a sword to him, but the KING recognized that the sword is exactly the same as his own..

楚王在寢宮睡去，忽然外面傳來一些聲音，他起身走去看露臺上發生了甚麽事情。他看到一個年輕人向他走來，並高高舉起一把劍，王認得那把劍和他自己的劍一模一樣...

Scene 7 The Warrior

第七場武士

The warrior is singing a song with his sharp voice through the streets of CHUH.

武士唱著一首歌，他正穿過楚國的街道，尖利的聲音劃破暮色.

Scene 8 The Magician

第八場魔術師

The KING is afraid of a nightmare and falls ill. The dancers and a clown entertain the KING, but the KING is still unhappy.

Until the WARRIOR comes and brings a shocking magic.

楚王害怕他的噩夢，他病了。宮中舞者們和小丑都在娛樂王，可王仍然不開心，就連他最寵愛的王妃的舞姿也不能令他開懷

直到一位魔術師到來，他帶來了驚人的魔術 ...

Scene 9 Tree Kings Battle

第九場三王之戰

A terrible battle of three spirits.

三個亡靈的可怕戰鬥，最後他們向後退去，接受了平安離去這個世界。

Scene 10 The River

第十場河

MO YE heard the sad news and the SPIRITS came and brought these two swords. The fire began around them, MO YE holds these two swords and jumps into the fire.

MENG PO gave MO YE a bowl of the forgotten soup.

A boat approaches from afar, and the BOATMAN brings MO YE to the depths. She arrives at a beautiful place, where people forget everything, even hatred

莫邪聽到了悲傷的消息，幽靈們帶來了那兩把劍。她們周圍燃燒起大火，莫邪懷抱這兩把劍跳入火中... 莫邪的魂魄醒來，孟婆遞給莫邪一碗忘湯。

一艘船從遠處划來，船夫將莫邪帶到了深處。她來到一個地方，一個靈魂（眉間尺）在一棵美麗的樹下吹著笛子，其他靈魂或站或坐的聆聽，他們互不認識，忘記了生前的一切，甚至是仇恨。
